Meet Our Team

Damian Hart

(B.Podiatry), MAPodA, SEPA

Why did I become a podiatrist?

Well, as you might have guessed, it was not because of a foot fetish (shock horror) it was because of interest recovery due to having had sporting injuries of the lower limb during my formative years of my life in Athletics and Football (soccer). I was always interested in finding ways in which I could get myself back to the track sooner, to which I would either work with a Sports Podiatrist and a Physio.

Fast forward to graduating High School and I pushed to find myself outside of sport which was to become educated in Health. I always found myself following all sports, particularly running, tennis and football, however I started finding myself interested in the ease of movement required to perform these tasks at a high level even when body shapes and types are so unique. There is something that we don’t all have in common, hard work and determination to be the best, sometimes due to setbacks that are put in front of us that eventually dream fades away.

As our lives change, so do our goals, and I found I could help people get back on track through various forms of sports podiatry and recovery, but also identifying why something in movement was restricting their ability to perform a task. This is where Podiatry comes in for function and recovery. This was solidified when working with various organisations, surgeons and sports teams.

I believe that we can all be our best selves, and I want to inspire change in people’s relationships with their lower limb health. Here at Hart & Sole Podiatry we want to push foot health to the forefront of healthcare as we believe that foot health is the foundation of a life well lived.
